Senior Director, Communications and Client Relations

Lelani Clark is Senior Communications and Client Relations Director at Sacks Communications. Clark works with Sacks’ clients to raise their public profiles by establishing and driving a multi-channel communications strategy, developing dynamic 360 PR, Social Impact, and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion PR campaigns – all with the goal of creating effective key messaging, securing top-tier media placements, and maintaining overall brand integrity.

Clark’s work has a special focus on leading marketing campaigns to amplify the voices of industry leaders serving marginalized and underserved communities, representing business, education, construction and infrastructure sectors, with a focus on DEI, CSR, ESG and Social Impact programs.

Prior Experience. Before joining Sacks, Clark served as Head of Communications for Women’s Center for Entrepreneurship Corporation (WCEC) where she managed all communication for the award-winning organization. Clark also provided advisory and technical assistance support for MWBEs who were seeking to scale and grow their business. WCEC is a Small Business Administration resource partner and designated Women Business Center, part of a national network of WBCs. Prior to joining WCEC, she served as a senior executive for a national cyber-security firm.

Media. Clark has appeared in, Nasdaq, Yahoo! News and on WABC TV and has produced and hosted several business and entertainment podcasts, including Big Voices on Small Business. She has been a guest lecturer at top universities and hosts a popular webinar on High Impact PR for small businesses, entrepreneurs and women and Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) business owners.

Education. Clark graduated Magna Cum Laude from UC Berkeley and is a John Jay Center on Media, Crime and Justice Guggenheim Fellow. She is a member of the Association of Women’s Business Centers, a UC Berkeley Alum Mentor and a 2021 ABA Stevie Awards judge.
